Cubs at Phillies Series

Fresh off sweeping their opponents on the road the Philadelphia Phillies and the Chicago Cubs square off in the city of brotherly love. The Cubs are second in their division and just 2 games back and the Phillies at first place with a solid 6.5 game lead.  The Phillies are on a 8 game win streak and the Cubs are 4-0 after the all star game which, by the way, saw only one Cub on it's roster, Ted Lilly, and he didn't even play.

Ted Lilly takes the mound for the Cubs in game 1 and squares off against Rodrigo Lopez. Lopez is 1-0 and Lilly is 9-6 both with exact same ERA at 3.18.  The Cubs are a miserable 2-15 as underdogs this year and the Phillies are an amazing 51-23 after a win.  The Phillies are slight favorites to win game one and the series as a whole. Philadelphia is -115.

Final note, Philly just signed Pedro Martinez who should add even more depth at starting pitcher spot.
