Georgia Tech at Florida State

Bobby Bowden really wants this one. It's not that the number one coach in NCAA history regarding wins has anything to prove.  He just loves to win. He is a winner and that is what he has always done. So, by that logic, this season is really getting under his skin.  He and his Florida State Seminoles are just 2-3 this season.  It is the worst start for FSU since Bowden's first season way back in 1976.

No. 22 rolls into town in the form of Yellow Jackets. This Ga. Tech team is a healthy 4-1 (2-1 in ACC). They have great wins against Clemson and UNC to speak of and only loss to a 'better than people think' Miami team.  So you might think that Ga. Tech is favored by all this information? Wrong. The odds makers are die hards and just about all of us think FSU is a little better than they have played.  Florida State is -3 at home versus the "Rambling Wreck".  I think most would have written FSU off by now if it weren't for that dominating performance at BYU.  They smacked up BYU 54-28. It was a total beat down.  And they just barely lost to a Miami team in week 1.

I personally think the Ga. Tech offense is way too vanilla to really dominate anyone.  The motion wing offense is hard to look at but when executed properly can rack up a lot of yards.  Just ask all the service academies.  Bottom line is this.  If FSU can limit GT's rushing yards, not turn the ball over, and not have many three and outs, they can win this one easily.  Conversely, if Ga. Tech can establish the run, shut down FSU's lopsided passing offense, and win the turn over battle, they can win no problem.  This should be a good one to watch and of course wager.
